I wanted to help create some content for this sub and I love PvP, so this seemed like a great route to take.
I love the PvP in WoW and it's been a majority of my focus for the past 2-3 expansions after shying away from raiding. Only recently have I made it my main focus. PvP is something I've loved ever since I was first killed while leveling in contested zones during TBC (yay hillsbrad and STV). There's something exciting about fighting and being hunted by another thinking human being on the other side of a monitor. The rush I get from PvP is hard to replicate, personally, via other means.
There's a myriad of topics we could discuss or question, so feel free to throw out whatever you want, regardless of how noobish or elitist it may sound.
If you want a starting point here are a few ideas I've been interested in lately:
Mercenary mode is going to be tested on the PTR soon. Some say it's a welcomed change and others claim that's it's a small fix to a bigger problem. Will it help queue times? Will it backfire? Does it set bad precedent? What would you suggest differently?
Some claim that Every Man for Himself (EMFH) is OP and should either be nerfed or removed entirely. Some even say that it should be given to all races to level the playing field. Should it be removed or reworked or even distributed to all? How would this affect PvP? Should trinkets be the only way to break loss of control? If they change EMFH should they also change WotF?
Currently there is a terrible imbalance on the population ratio between horde and alliance, where the alliance heavily outnumber horde in regards to PvP. The consensus is the racial rework was to blame for starting the mass movement to alliance. There have been numerous suggestions on how to fix the imbalance. Some even say it's not fixable. How could Blizz get enough players back to horde without pushing horde into the majority? Is there any hope for faction balance? Does the current faction imbalance affect you personally, and if so, how?
More light hearted: do you have a favorite PvP memory? What's the coolest thing you've done in PvP? Have you hit any PvP milestones lately that you want to brag about? Let's hear it!
What is your go-to PvP class or comp? Do you enjoy one role over another? What did you start PvP with, and what do you PvP with now? If you have a favorite PvP class, why is it your favorite (maybe a particular utility or tool, or perhaps it makes you feel powerful)?
More ideas and discussions to come. Hope I can find some PvP minded players to enjoy conversation with.
