I think we need to validate the "lost control of it" aspect of this better. This is going to be the point of argument the pro deep state side takes. We need the how and the who and the what.
It sounds like the CIA was using 3rd party contractors to avoid needing to get warrants and some were not very responsible with safeguarding it. So that's the how. The who, who specifically misused or lost control of it? Then the what. Has there been any instance of this used for crime before this date or by other state actors?
It all should be damning without that side of the equation because the CIA was still spying on us. But we (Assange) made a claim and the more details we have to back it up the more seriously everything that is being said will be taken.

I'm just wondering if this wikileaks release is related to the shadowbrokers hack of the NSA staging server (i heard about this fall of last year) or new material entirely. When I read (on wikileaks) "Recently, the CIA lost control of the majority of its hacking arsenal including malware, viruses, trojans, weaponized "zero day" exploits, malware remote control systems and associated documentation. " - I just wondered if this was what they were referring to, or if this is a new leak.

So was this all the stuff the Shadow Brokers got off that NSA staging server?

Do you have a link regarding what you're referring to? I'm not sure what you're referencing, thanks!
