How is 316 to work with and how well does it perform in submerged applications?

It runs a lot, stick welding it in position is not for amateurs honestly.
I've seen 14%+ tubs of liquid chlorine stand up to pitting for years bfr needing patch work, it performs well in caustic environments too. But it's not indestructible. ..
