People are fucking retarded with their lenses, I swear to God. A Lot of people are cheap as fuck and think that daily lenses can be reused. Due to the actual makeup of the lens, the lens itself becomes abrasive after being worn for over 24 hours.
One time I had this young chick come in who had purchased color contact lenses from some sketchy blog online. When they came in she ripped into them and put them directly in her eye, but they were in an old solution that had become acidic.
Also, they were shipped in from Australia which has different laws about how you can make and pack lenses. The owners of this blog would buy the actual boxes of the lenses and then turn around and resell the individual pairs to dumbasses like her to make a large profit.
She burned a hole in her cornea the size of a penny, actually went through about 4 layers. If it had burned any deeper, she would have required corneal transplant.
Please use approved brands recommended by your doctors and please use them as directed. Don't burn your cornea or tear into it. Don't be stupid.
I'm the same way. I have a phobia of things near my eye after all the foreign bodies I saw lodged in the cornea and sclera of patients coming in. No. Hell no.
The lady is an old one and did not have serious problems, like infections, with her eyes. She only felt uncomfortable. She thought the reason behind her discomfort was her age... Serious?
I was taking out my contact lenses one night, and when I pulled out the left lens, a second lens was stuck to it. I must have been drunk one night and forgot to take it out, then put a new one over the old one the next morning. I can see how it might have happened to her once or twice, but not 27 times.
I figured I drunkenly washed my lens down the drain, so I opened a new package and wound up putting a new lens over the old one that was still in my eye. For a few days, everything was blurry and my eye was uncomfortable, but I assumed it was springtime allergies. This went on for a few days until the old lens came out stuck to the new lens.

I'm reading this on a 55 inch monitor. Better that than any glasses or contact lens

Mine is as well. A nice little 55 inch 4k tv is way more immersive than multiple monitors.

What was her treatment after she fucked up her eyes like that
[–] KatiePorpoise 1 point 5 points 6 points (+6|-1) ago
Antibiotics, bandage contact lens, numbing drops, eye taped shut, and recheck and bandage changes every single day for 2 weeks. She's lucky

Geeze, geezers should stick to eye glasses. They have enough trouble with those as it is.

If i understand the article correct, there where 17 stacked on top of each other, and then ten more else where on the eye.
