Fucking hell, me too!

On the downside, I definitely won't feel guilty enough to hoover my carpet any time this week.

Yeah. I knew a kid like this when I was younger.

Not quite as bad, but still comporable. You didn't know what color the floor was. The smell changed too often, every tv on in the house. Older brother screaming at pc, dad not far away doing the same.

Luckily the kid I speak of got outa there, did alright. Still a weirdo.

they're so mentally ill they store their own shit for later. Like literal shit.

Maybe they need it for making a knife out of their shit in case of an avalanche?

You can keep a ton of stuff, but thats just nasty....... Its like a normal person can collect 10,000 rocks, but these people will collect the same amount but have food and bugs and poop, all over it scattered everywhere. WTF!!

I lived with my Buddy the year after university that could have turned out like this but it turned out maybe worse instead. The landlord had to completely gut his room after we moved out. Buddy had always lived with his over doting mother before then and had no fucking clue how to look after anything domestically. His dad was the CEO of a public company who was never around and it turned out it was partly because he had another two families with kids in another two cities. Great guy to your face but obviously a sociopath.

Other than his work Buddy had to have someone do everything for him. Couldn't drive; couldn't cook; couldn't do laundry; couldn't clean, etc. But he could afford it as he rocked at work. MBA and JD who worked in corporate finance and probably made over a million his first year out of school and even more for a few more years after that.

But then he decided he wanted to be a musician instead. So he quit his job and hired a backing band. Started booking gigs and recorded an album. He was alright but even the greats have a hard time making a living of it. It became pretty obvious that he was not mentally well. He sold both his hard top and soft top BMWs. Then he sold his condo for about $2 mill and moved back into his first $300K condo. Then his dad asked to borrow $3 mill so he could start a new business. Buddy said OK, knowing his dad was a scam artist, but made it clear that he was going to run out of money at X date so would need the money back then. That date came and his dad stopped answering the phone and then cancelled it.

So his funds depleted and he started living out of his car. Stayed at my place a few nights and it was very apparent that he was psychotic. He really only talked about conspiracies and math and religion. I talked with his family during this time and it turned out he had cut them out of his life for over a year because they wanted him to get psychiatric help and had him involuntarily committed twice.

At some point his phone stopped working and I lost contact. I heard from his brother that he happened to see him hanging out around a downtown park that is packed with the homeless. I went down there a couple of times looking for him but never saw him.

I think about him on regular basis.

This person probably has a stronger immune system than most of us. Constant exposure like this really trains up the bodies defenses. Still fucking disgusting though.

That or he's inches away from the grave and toxoplasmosis or something is creeping up on him.

I helped a friend lay some laminate flooring in his mother in law's house, and it was almost this bad. The room we were working in had all the floor, ceiling, and walls torn out, but you you could still tell the place had been filthy beforehand. We put in new sheet rock and the floor, and I got so fucked up from it I developed costochondritis. In the next room over, there was garbage piled everywhere. The gas stove was piled high with cereal boxes and other combustible materials. You literally had to wade through trash to get anywhere. The water had been shut off for some reason. There were hordes of cats living around the place, because they could scavenge through the bags of trash piled high in the garage. Fucking VULTURES hung around the house so they could pick through garbage! The house was so filthy, that when the woman went to the hospital, social services wouldn't let her come home. A mere week after we renovated this room, he told me it was already fucked up.

Now that woman is dead, and it's probably from living in a shitty environment. What's fucking pissing me off is that his wife is now developing the same habits, and is destroying the house he bought before they even met.
