As far as I know, this is the most relevant place on the web. I've heard of 4chan and whatnot, but never really went there because my impression since maybe 15 years or something, was they had a bunch of atrocities pictures and such, that they considered fun. I avoid such content. So while that, and maybe other places, may be good, Voat seems to me 'number one.' The impression I am getting, though, is that the audience here is smaller than that of some other places on the web, such as for example that Reddit site that I also never really used.
If someone made a kind of 'curated' normies version of Voat, with uncompromising content that was, none the less, presented specifically for those about to migrate away from mainstream media nonsense, and over to more relevant content, I think Voat could get an 'exponential' growth in impact on the societal debate, via that 'secondary' site. This site here may never get much 'traction' with the general idiot who thinks they're getting the truth from 'newspapers' and tv, and it would probably be bad for Voat if they for whatever reason did show up here. Another site, though, tailored to normies about to 'leave the reservation,' maybe funded by some 'select' advertisers and perhaps a premium section (?), I think could be good. Voat is a perhaps too well kept secret of the web. :)
