There does seem to be more incentive to post, as it's actually contributing to the community. Unlike Reddit where you're spitting into the ocean.

It's more like pissing into an ocean of piss.

I agree, posted more links in 2 days than I did in the last 2 years on reddit.

Ye same here, since voat is new it really has to have members that are willingly putting effort in to fill it with content. I feel like every user has an impact at the moment in to bringing life to voat. If you post on reddit it will be downvoted into the ground if the first 5 people don't like it, here there can't even be downvoted into the ground since the userbase is so slim yet. So therefor I feel more satisfaction helping and contributing content to voat instread of reddit.

Same here. I think that after a while I just felt a bit lost in reddit. Lots of people and lots of bullshit. Im not here because there are less people, but it is a nice change and it makes me have more of a belief that my contribution is more meaningful and less lost in the mountains of useless content and puns.

Exactly, I feel that I'm not late to the party like I felt with Reddit but actual a part of the community.

Tempted to post an introduction. I actually feel like it would be worth doing.

I like to think that we're also generally more welcoming to those who've arrived after us as well. I didn't use reddit for very long and also got burned out super quick. I do think Voat has achieved a better atmosphere.

Yeh, I think part of it is that it is easier to find unique content to post, but also I feel like chatting more here.

There is definitely a stronger feeling of genuine conversation here.

I was on Reddit for 3 years and never submitted anything. Submitted something to Voat this week though.

omg same in here it feels that if I contribute it makes a difference. not so much on reddit

Exactly. Its great when you know people are actually reading your comments.

Same here. It's likely because your posts will actually get noticed here while they just get buried in reddit. It's nice though, I'm really loving the content here.

When it comes to main submissions yes, definitely! But it's a double-edged sword. Since I am more likely to have things seen since it's a smaller community, I like to post stuff, but at the same time the community is so small that it takes longer to be noticed.
As far as comments I want to get enough CCP to actually downvote (which could be shitty?), and that's hard to get. At the same time that's probably a really good thing, because I have not seen anyone encouraging shitposting in the comments, at least not yet. That's fucking excellent.
I have actually also laughed at things on /v/funny way more often than on /r/funny. It's really nice.
