Can I just hook my Fire Phone to my face some how? That fucker has like 5 cameras.
Edit. But true. One wouldn't suit that sort of application very well. It's a start though. AR is much more tempting to me than VR. VR is all well and good but AR I think is going to be the game changer.
I haven't really tried much AR other than Google Glass and similar if that counts. I can tell you that the VR headsets won't be good at it, even if they tuck 2 decent cameras on there, it just isn't designed for it, the goggles are too intrusive, etc. It will be interesting to see if someone (M$ or otherwise) comes up with something consumer friendly eventually.

You want to wait for two cameras then. A single camera is gonna be shit for any serious AR application.
