Why anybody would opt for the obviously inferior Rift over the Vive from a shit company like facebook versus a great company (customer wise) like Valve is beyond me.
The Rift is dead. They took too long, they kept things too tied up with DRM and secrecy, and they reneged on the promise of open software which would have actually really fundamentally created a new technology.
AND they take ALL your biometric data the second you put the thing on and do god knows what with it.
Sorry, but if you buy a rift you should have your head examined. In fact if you give facebook any money for ANYTHING you should have your head examined.

I am really starting to dislike how FB is approaching all this. I don't think that the, young management who has zero experience in this sort of rollout, understands how critical the first year is to a new tech. They seem to pulling a Microsoft and in their hubris, making all the wrong moves for all the wrong reasons.
