As to what tofu did to me, someone made a tofurkey for thanksgiving a couple years ago, scarred me pretty badly. It's my opinion nobody should ever eat a tofurkey.
I am a fan of savory pot pies, someone with goat cheese and sausage and potato and things. What would you do with that?
Ha, I don't blame you then. When tofu goes wrong, it can go realllly wrong. Though less chance of food poisoning then seafood anyway.
Your savory pot pie sounds exactly like something my husband would crave. We do a variation with phyllo dough (did you know most store bought is "accidentally" vegan?) and roasted root vegetables. I'll mention the goat cheese/sausage flavor and see what herbs and spices he comes up with to mimic it. Man, now i'm getting hungry!
