I am an ovo-vegetarian and /v/vegetarian is pretty dead. I really want to participate in a plant-based community discussion though. You guys cool with vegetarians posting here? I want some sort of mega community to be able to go to.

Absolutely. Even omnivores are welcome as long as the discussion is some what in the realm of the vegan lifestyle. Ill probably throw /v/vegetarian on the side bar soon since it's related.

I started /v/animallaw if you feel like putting that in the sidebar too :)

While previously a contributor to the vegan sub on R**dit, plenty of vegetarians posted there and scrolled for ideas since there is obvious crossover. There was anti-vegan hostility on the vegetarian sub and vice versa, so that could be a potential issue here. Depends on individual personalities and what is being posted. As long as things stay vegan in a vegan sub (seitan, lettuce and mustard on mine, please - haha), I think all contributions should be welcome!

It seems really silly for vegetarians to hate on vegans.... I want to go vegan someday. Vegetarians/Vegans should be encouraging each other for doing at least something to help even if some judge it is not enough or too much.
