26 gauge, 2mm ID, 8 wraps, should clock in about 0.4 ohms. Right now I'm using 28g, 2mm ID, 9 wraps, 0.7 ohms and it's working well too. The wicking is the most important though. You want to trim the cotton so it is covering the top of the juice channels with a tiny, tiny bit dipping into the channel. Any deeper into the channel and it will dry hit. If there's not enough cotton to cover the top of the channel it will leak. Make sure your coil is nice and close to the block and centered between the airflow holes. Don't block the airflow with cotton.
