Those countries such as Germany, UK, France, Netherlands... you admire treat healthcare as a public service, such as building roads and bridges. But in the US, Americans treat it like a business.
Why is that happining ?

We do not admire socialized medicine in the United States, and voted against it.
US promotes freedom of choice and eschews government control of citizens.
Many of us view the Veterans Administration as a single-payer, government-run healthcare system in the USA in 2017. It has failed, and no attempts to fix it have succeeded so far. We do not want this government intrusion to control any other US citizens.

USA has never experienced actual socialized medicine. Right now healthcare is a for profit industry so they make sure all the propaganda in the universe is spewed out their ass to keep it that way.
