Seven months after its first incarnation, Typogra 2 has finally been released, fully compatible with the modern Voat and night mode. It's been fun making Typogra 2 these past few weeks and I plan to continue refining the theme, adding more quick customization features, eventually making a night mode version, and tackling any bugs or oddities with the theme for the future. I hope that my work can be appreciated by those who don't have the CSS knowledge to pimp their themes and, possibly, by those well-versed in CSS who want to expand on the theme to make their own. It's been an honor working for you.
As always, you can get the latest and greatest from here to update your subverses. Make sure you subscribe to this subverse or follow the GitHub repository so you're always notified if any changes are made to the theme.
Since the last release candidate, I've added two major features to the theme: night mode compatibility and a new quick customization section. Typogra should no longer cause issues when night mode is enabled. It does this by tweaking all of the colors night mode uses, but this means that Typogra's color pallete has been based off of Voat's light theme. This is the only way to ensure compatibility until dual themes are supported in the future.
I've added a new section to the bottom of the code, labeled "Customize". There are a few subsections for quick-customizing of various theme elements, like the banner image, a few backgrounds, and the font. More options will be available in the future. Anyway, quick customizations are done by editing the enclosed CSS and deleting the lines with
/* ! +++ and
+++ ! */ surrounding the CSS that you tweaked so it's activated and live. Be sure to read the instructions in the sections themselves.
I think that covers just about everything in this new release. Thank you all for your support and I hope you all enjoy customizing your Voat experience. :-)
