Hello Reddit, A lot of folks that i know came to America with a dream and finished School in STEM with Masters in Engineering. After an initial work permit or OPT, they had to move on to the common pool of H1B because there is no defined work permit for them. I believe they are more skilled than those who fly in on H1B and have contributed more to tthe American society.
Average Fee of a Masters degree is 30,000.00USD. They pay their taxes and contribute to the progression of the american society. On an average they pay 20,000.00USD taxes a year. So my question is, will trump help these Masters or STEM folks with a work permit that has less restrictions than H1B(H1B is an abused program primarily due to the Staffing firms owned by Indian majority). H1B is being abused by CTS,INFOSYS, TCS,TECH-MAHINDRA etc.
There is another alliance of Indian staffing firms that a very few Americans are aware of, they are IT-SERVE. Its a huge organization with 5000-10,000 Indian staffing firms in USA. They dont work like American staffing firms. I will explain how they primarily abuse the system and what they amount to in numbers. Indian staffing firms a heavily concentrated in all the Tech hubs like Texas(Austin,Houston,Dallas), Newyork, NewJersey, California(BayArea), Illinois(Chicago) and every other major city. They hire OPT students and lure them with fake-job opportunities and trainings.
They relocate the students to guest-houses and give them a crash course of a tech for a month. It can be anything from SAP,SAS,SAN,.NET,DEVOPS,BIGDATA etc. After a meager month training, they push Masters students into faking the resumes. Yes you heard me right, they morph the students resumes to 7-8 years of tech-industry experience. Going by the numbers , there are atleast 120k fake resumes in the current market.
Here is a hint, go to INDEED job portal, in the resume tab, search for any technology and you will be flooded with resumes all identical and upwards of 7-8 years of experience. The masters students are pushed into this slavery with no knowledge of repercussions. The staffing agencies then push the morphed resumes out to a network of recruiters mainly operated by those of Indian origin. Now one may be wondering, how the heck client as in American company is not aware of this fraud, well there is a trick for that too.
In majority or 90% of the American companies, the tech teams are managed by folks of indian origin(South India). The Manager or team lead at client of indian origin will have his wife, a relative or a friend setup a shell-staffing company. When there is a job requirement in the client company, the indian origin manager will direct that requirement through his shell-staffing company(operated primarily by his wife,friend, or a relative).
The purpose of this shell-staffing agency is to circumvent IRS,DOL and other American law agencies from tracking the monies back to him. So once the requirement is put out lets say, Need a joe with 2-3 years of experience in SAP to get the JOB done at American clientele. It will be pushed from the shell-staffing agency to a indian recruiting agency.
These recruiting agencies are primarily located in India(does that ring a bell?), yeah its a spider network and gets more complex by the day. The recruiters are given one job to change the requirement , yes you heard it right! They will change the requirement from 2-3 years SAP experience in this case to 8-10 years of experience.
Yep, they will just copy paste every damn technology name they come across and mash up the requirement to 8-10 years of expertise(which is not required in actual job market). Primary reason for this is to cheat average Americans. Yep if the requirement is just 2-3 years there are plenty of Americans ready to get the job done, but noooo! if that happens the grand plan fails, so they elevate and morph the requirements. Half of the indian recruiters use pseudo-names for this very purpose, you hear a John Wayne with a thick ass indian accent asking about JAVA experience.
So after this, the recruiters are approached by the Indian staffing agencies with heavy numbers of Masters students ready to work for any rate. Here starts the negotiations with the employers and so called vendors. This is again a huge scam, the client releases lets say 80$ per hour for the role. The indian manager at the client with a shell-agency or vendor or layer usually takes a cut of 20-30$ per hour. Boy, you folks are up for a yuge surprise here. The indian manager is also an immigrant who was fortunate enough to get a green card lol. Now that he got the green card, he want that MONEY!! So, after taking a cut of 20-30$, the rate goes down to 50-60.
The indian recruiter is also hungry, so he decides to take a cut of 2-5$ per hour. Because if the Indian staffing agency doesnt accept that price, the resumes wont be pushed further, yep them bastardss are cold. So client pays 80$, the employer or the indian staffing agency with Masters students get around 50$ per hour. Here he will have a contract with the Masters student although technically the student is a full time employee, he doesnt get any benefits as in medical, insurance, PTO, 401K, nothing. He basically takes his cut which is usually 20-35%, so the student or employee is left with 25-40$. The taxes are paid from this 25-40$ and in the end the Masters student is paid around 60K after all this cuts. There are an estimated of 30,000 indian staffing agencies in USA today.
The students are enslaved by getting lured into this grand scheme of things or scam of things. The estimated business done by these indian staffing agencies is roughly around 5 Billion dollars. One might be wondering, how the heck these folks are moving all the monies well, direct that question to IRS and DOL.
The common frauds committed by these staffing agencies are forgeries of documents, forging requirements to push average American IT workers out of their own companies, fake resumes, tax evasions, money laundering to India, H1B visa frauds, not paying employees for months, bonding of labor etc.
I see all the average joes going bonkers on Disney firing 4000 workers by hiring H1bs, well suckers there is a bigger scam going around you in broad day light and it already successfully displaced million IT American employees over the past decade. This scam dates back to 2000s and is still being successfully implemented as i type this. If you see a Indian staffing agency, audit it and i swear to lord you will find at least a 100 frauds in one place.
I wish i was a part of DOL or FBI, i would have gone after these crooks till every last one of them is put in jail(am talking almost 10,000-25,000 crooks of Indian origin) for all the white collar crimes they have been doing. If you are a LEO or FBI or DOL employee reading this, my sincere request is start looking into this scam, it has devastated a million American lives till date, if you dont act today it will be too late as they run so deep into our economy, they were able to lobby for Hillary Clinton in the past elections.
According to some sources they paid millions to Hillary campaign and Clinton Foundation for the eventual kick backs in the form of relaxation of H1B rules.
