I tried to find his old cases, but my google-fu was too weak. I'd be interested to see what sort of cases he handled, the ratio of jury convictions to plea bargains.

All I have is this from his House Bio page: "For 6 years as a federal prosecutor, Trey prosecuted the full range of federal crimes including narcotics trafficking rings, bank robberies, child pornography cases, and the murder of a federal witness." I'd be interested to hear more details too, if you find anything.
