Hey Squish!

It's nice to hear from you, I thought you ran away from civilization for good.

Kudos on the debt free living, I'm doing the same. No mortgage, no car loan, zero financing for my church renos, fuck contractors too ! :)

All it takes is time & patience... and bartering skills to avoid spending.

I bartered for nice unwashed eggs since I got no refrigeration. They are delicious. Crops in the ground already, harvest in three months.

Awesome, the ground is still too frozen up here so I got seeds & bulbs waiting to go in.

Hi Squish! You're down there in Puna now? 🌴 Enjoy your new location and new life! For whatever reason, I was just watching that Scott guy in Leilani Estates livestream digging down to the old ground surface on his lava lot by #8. https://youtu.be/0ZdSV3ew7rs Haven't watched that character in a year or two, but now here you are too.

Stay safe out there, and all the best to you and your family.

I'm a proper punatic now. I'm in a place less densely populated than Leilani estates. Can't see anyone elses lights. I actually have about 3 inches of soil which is a huge deal in puna. The rush now is to get up a solid structure and save kindling for winter. I'm higher up and it gets to 40-50 in the winter but I've played a lot Minecraft and harvest moon so my body is ready.

Sounds you're off to a great start. Work on that crafting table and remember to sleep in a bed in your new base!

Everyone defaults to chickens, but look into ducks before you make your final decision. Or both! You'd have a lot of eggs to barter.

Also, is Puna 'butter' still a thing? 😁 Cheers!

You think you are gonna get ahead playing by their rules? In hard times, you choose what puts food in your mouth.

It will be an Eden when all of the riffraff parasites perish by their OWN choices (for a CHANGE) won't it??!!!

We live in the country and are busting out butts in the garden right now. There is so much to do.
