You can't spoil a baby. There has a lot of research that baby wearing actually helps a baby adjust to being outside of the womb. I read a lot of book from Dr Sears on Baby-wearing and the benefits https://www.askdrsears.com/topics/health-concerns/fussy-baby/baby-wearing/benefits-babywearing I used slings and carriers.

I will add from my own experience, only one child I had to put into a stroller (I had surgery months later and couldn't carry her, just hold her) and she is the one that I don't feel as close to than her other two sisters. However it has increased her bond with her dad because he carried her the most.

I never had a problem with them being independent later because I let them have that space when they wanted it.
