Canola is sprayed with roundup. High glyphosate level. Many crops are sprayed with both pesticides and herbicides. In the case of roundup, it's used in a secondary fashion (aside from keeping weeds down). First, with roundup-ready crops, like soys and corns, it is sprayed to kill roundup vulnerable weeds around the crop plant. The crop plant still absorbs the glyphosate, though only the surrounding weeds die after intake. The second use is to spray non-roundup ready crops to intentionally "kill" the crop plant: eg, when wheat is nearly ready for harvest but there is a storm front approaching. The wheat plant dies quickly and dries, allowing timely harvest. It is dead bc the glyphosate is inside the plant - which you then eat. All crops sprayed with roundup have glyphosate, which you then ingest. Further, cancer studies only cover the glyphosate in isolation. What happens when you subject food with glyphosate to cooking? What about the various other chemicals applied, what carcinogenic changes occur? None of that is ever studied.

Even without chemicals, "pure" veg oils are low level carcinogenic. But we are dosing daily with oxidative oils. Animal fats, fats chains identical to what we have in our bodied, are the only really acceptable fats. Look into "bio-similar" vs "bio-identical" to gain further insight, too much to unpack here. One clear example I can give is Hormone replacement therapy: initially, doctors used bio-similar estrogen derived from pregnant horse urine. Women developed breast cancer. Then they switched to bio-identical human estrogen, and those cases disappeared.

But even animal fat is corrupt. Our livestock is fed those sprayed crops. In the case of pigs, glyphosate mimics the glycine molecule and collects in the cartilage, which is harvested in the making of agar, which is used to culture vaccines - that is another avenue of glyphosate, this time being injected directly into the bloodstream. There is more poisons involved in vaccines, but that is how glyphosate is involved.

Animal fats, then, would be the lesser evil.

Appreciate the insight, looks I've got some reading to do.
