Aluminum is probably not a neurotoxin. It is one of the most common elements in soils, and it is present in bentonite clay that some people consume in large amounts. It would be blatantly obvious by now if it were a significant neurotoxin.

I agree that there are many publications that say this, but it remains true that every time you eat a potato with the skin on, you are eating aluminum from the soil. If aluminum were a real problem, eating dirt would take decades off your life.
Compare this to lead, which is a real neurotoxin. Painting a window with lead paint and simply opening and closing it can poison you with lead. Whereas eating kilograms of aluminum has no apparent risk.
