How did you do last week? Do you need to modify your workouts and routines for this week? Share you success and failures from last week ITT.
This thread is to set our weekly goals and to hold each other accountable and to support each other in this journey of self care. As @GoatsnHoes1 said, "we need to stay beautiful for our husbands and healthy for our children". Couldn't agree more.
Not a big rule maker but I'd like to set some reasonable guidelines.

This is a marathon, not a sprint so please set achievable goals and slowly build up your routines. Remember, it's the steady quiet plodding ones who win the lifelong race.

Try to check in and comment when you've accomplished a scheduled workout. Please also let us know when you missed a workout and why (I'm asking this because sometimes we can come up with a myriad of excuses and I'd like for us to try to keep the excuses at a minimum).

Feel free to talk about nutrition. Be aware that there's a lot of well informed Goats on this subject so if you're trying a fad diet, you may be presented with a lot of facts, good and bad, about your diet choice. If you're a sensitive type, you may want to refrain from talking about it but ultimately that's up to you.

Lastly, some of us may have some body image issues. Am hoping we can try not to harp on those too much. People age, bodies change, and that's just a part of life. What we do have control over is how we manage and minimize those changes through fitness and nutrition.

Last week I was in the hospital and only did stretches. Usually I do yoga and I am going to try to get into it again starting with a couple times a week then working up to daily. I have allergies and lost weight in the hospital and am right now working on gaining weight in a healthy way with plenty of meat and whole grains and not so much sugars. I use a lot of olive oil for a healthy fat.

Much better thank you. Not 100% but I will be working with my doctors to improve. Thank you for your concern, I am glad to catch up on all the tw articles I missed.

I'm happy with my progress from last week (down a pound!) - I did my yoga, and walked. Even got in a killer 45 min session today. I didn't snack, and I do plant based eating (for me, my family does not). Though tonight I'm making black bean and rice enchiladas with a butternut squash enchilada sauce, and some jalapeño cashew cream. Sounds super indulgent, but it's all plants, and no oil was used in the making, so there's carbs, but compared to regular enchiladas, I'd say they were pretty healthy. Or maybe I'm just hoping.........? Lol.

Last week I set a goal of three kettle bell workouts and one yoga class. Additionally, I was planning two walks per day.
I underestimated how weakened my core was from pregnancy and found my extremities much more sore from compensating for a weak core. This told me that my form was taking a hit and that I need to scale back my goals for a couple of weeks. I'll still go just as many times, just will not overdo it next week.
As for the walks, I got a lot in but we've had some weather here so I tended to do one walk just twice as long.

I’m late to the party. I lost a lb, I’m closing in on my goal weight. I’ve started doing some core, posture and toning exercises daily. Got hubby on board too! He had some dad weight to lose as well and agreed to do it with me. We started a weekly weigh in (for accountability) and each of us writes our weight in dry erase marker on our side of the bathroom mirror and update each week so we can see how we’re doing. He cut his alcohol consumption and it made a HUGE difference! I don’t really drink alcohol more than once or twice a month so I didn’t have that extra weight loss perk. I did however start putting half of any entree I order if we go out to eat in a container before eating it to cut calories :)

Went. Was there on time, did entire workout but modified for a weakened core and stayed after class for additional help on core strengthening. Good workout.
