Today's Easy Decluttering Project - Toiletries
DAY TWO of looking at this series and simplifying it! :)
”What I know for sure is that when you declutter whether it's in your home, your head, or your heart it is astounding what will flow into that space that will enrich you, your life, and your family.”
Peter Walsh
-
Gather all your toiletries in one place (this includes those from all bathtubs/showers as well as any cupboards, drawers, and closets they may be in throughout your house)
-
Throw away any products that are expired or old and re-package any items that are leaking
-
Relocate everything that doesn't belong with your toiletries and combine partially used bottles of products that you want to keep using
-
Give away items that you have not used in over 6 months (or whatever time period is reasonable to you) By the way, shelters are great places to donate toiletries!
Additional thoughts
-
Check your bug out bag and camping supplies if products have expired or need replacing.
-
Everything has a cost associated with it, even free samples are taking up space and unnecessary if you are NOT using it.
LASTLY: Let’s be honest with ourselves here.
If you think you still want to keep something but you know you haven't used it in quite awhile, ask yourself;
Why haven't I used this?
Do I like the scent/texture/results/ingredients?
Is this product inferior to another I am already using?
Let these questions guide your decision to keep it or give it away.
All the best Ladies on this journey to lighten the load and make room for better more functional products that we actually use and love.
Happy decluttering and happy Friday!

Excellent Idea Sir, let me do that now and thanks for the feedback. Getting cluttered is something that effects us all.

Ah sweet lady, I miss you! I am trying hard not to bother you but I think of you and your babies often.
It’s okay though, seasons come and go and managing a house with little ones is a constant learning curve. It never ceases to amaze me how much stuff kids have and need. Gone are the days with a mere backpack and ready in 10 minutes...
Truthfully though they don’t need it all and wanting to fulfill all their known and unknown wants etc easily builds up into a mountain of maybes.
I sometimes find myself lying on the couch looking at how neat, spacious and tidy the ceiling is, it’s a beautiful space, so open, so minimalistic and I visualize myself dancing all around in such delight.
Lol AND THEN I look down and resume calling out to the kids to lend a hand and clear the floor so I can walk around and not break a blooming ankle.
Geez somedays are better then others, its not crasy all the time. Thank the dear LORD, my kids help quickly and are not brats, that would send me over the edge fawshure.
Anyway, have a beautiful day m’lady, I need this series too right now, that’s why I am doing it and I am so glad others are being blessed by it too :)
