I was going to use one from a local foodie magazine, I think they are pretty standard all over, yeasted sweet dough with dried fruit and a flour and water cross over the top? Do you have a recipe that's a favourite?
Oh, I was just wondering since I’ve not made anything like them before. I need to practice making a yeast bread, though. :) I usually make quick breads, if anything.
I just realised it's been about 18 years since I made hot cross buns (Though I did use store bought ones to make bread and butter pudding last night). Sounds like fun.
I've never made them before and don't really make much bread but this could be a fun thing to do with the kids this week that my 5 yr old is home from school. I just remembered I need to make a carrot cake and dye eggs too.
I haven't decided if I'm doing the whipped cream and food coloring or a bag or rice and food coloring. I've tried the dipping the eggs in water and food coloring way before and it's such a mess and pain with the kids and they really don't seem that interested anyway.
I need to have carrot cake on Easter, just seems more like Easter with it. It's my grandmas recipe and super simple.

I've never made them before in my life! I probably should. They're delicious. ;)

I don't think I've ever even had them but the 5 yr old thinks they look yummy so we will give them a try.

I've only ever had grocery store buns, and they were pretty nice. Homemade would definitely be delicious!

Busy baking time for you then. I'm making an Easter cake too but its going to be chocolate through and through :)
Do you do a traditional dying method or are you following something you found on the net?
