TV and movies consistently show wives making fun of their husbands like they're somehow a hindrance and stupid. It's all about the cheap jabs- this is not normal behavior nor is it healthy for marriage and serves to hurt the entire family.

It's why I love historical dramas, the ones that show exactly the role a wife plays to a man. The king leads and the queen is at his side, aiding him when he requests it and supporting him in his decisions.

My wife is stellar. She keeps me realistic, motivated, and helps me shoot high while retaining pragmatic expectations. I return the favor. We both have our highs and lows and we rarely experience the same feelings at the same time (when I'm high, she's low and visa versa).

It's good to have a woman like that in my life. Wouldn't trade her for the world.

A good wife makes a good man larger than life.

Filled with confidence to conquer the world.

This is so true. Just last night I was telling my husband about a family I used to know who kept a little wooden doghouse in their kitchen with each person of the family having a dog figurine. When I went to their house to play as a kid, I noticed that the "dad" dog was in the doghouse. The kids laughed and said that I was usually dad who was in the doghouse.

My husband said, "how demoralizing!"

Seems my childhood friends' mom needed to see what you just posted. It's nicely worded.

Exactly right. Following the example (((they))) provide on their programing leads to miserable marriages and divorce.
