LOL- that's the most ridiculous thing I've read all week which is saying something. An armed society is a polite society. I carry a weapon on me at all times (even in my home I have a pistol on my hip) and if anything, it makes me more interested in not involving myself in any silly road rage which could potentially escalate. The absolute last thing I'd want to do is have to use my weapon.

You sir, are a fool.

I have tried to explain this to other gun owners who did not understand, but I think that you will. Even if you are completely 100% justified in using your weapon, it does not mean that you will not be charged. If you are charged, then you will have to hire an attorney and you will have a whopping legal bill. If you go to trial for manslaughter, I would guess your legal bill would be at least $50,000. If you are found not guilty, your attorney keeps your money. You do not get a refund.

So, yes, the absolute last thing you want to do is use your weapon. It is best to make repeated attempts to deescalate the situation.

Oh, I know. I have the card of an attorney (the get out of jail kind) that I keep in my card, in all my purses, and in our safe and I hope to God I never have to call him. We met with him before we decided to use him and asked all the questions. I strongly advise all gun owners do this. The attorney said that we were very rare in seeking his advice first...usually he doesn't here from people until there is trouble.
