Turns out it's not a great idea to compete in the market with men ... It ends up with decreased salary and shittier life for everyone. But yay empowerment and freedom right ?

Turns out it's not a great idea to ignore the skills that men and women have that are perfectly complementary to each other.

this is what dampens my day to realize. I want to so badly have many children and stay at home to raise them all well from home, but having a 1-person income makes this close to impossible. It makes me sad that there are so many women like me in this world who want the same exact thing, but will never have it because of how awful the economy is.

That's why there are so many women that do direct sales.
There are ways to stay at home on one income and if not stay home at least spend more time at home with the kids.

That actually makes me laugh because it punishes feminists.

Well, women can create life, wth minimal contribution from the male. If that means there are more male geniuses to balance that out some, I'm ok with it.

I think the biggest tragedy is that feminism has taught women to despise this amazing ability. They teach young women to destroy that aspect of themselves. It's truly tragic.

I've actually always thought nature was kind of cruel in a way because women get to bear children while men can only stand on the sidelines. Not that I'm advocating female superiority, but life creation is a hell of an ability. Men naturally evolved ways in which they were equally valuable to the species. I think it's beautiful the way in which men and women are so complementary.

Its the mans job to provide for the mother and child. Not saying that single mom and that women in general cant provide for the family but its been that way for 6000 years and worked out just fine.

I agree. And I would say that men definitely bear some responsibility in this modern mess. The no-fault divorce has destroyed society. And while some men are treated poorly by the court system, it's because the laws were written in a different age.

My hypothesis is that men carry a certain evolutionary drive that makes them more prone to infidelity. Not that that means all men will cheat, just that there is a biological drive behind it. Men can, and do, override this urge, but it's still there. Women had this far less so before the pill, and I'd say it's still with us to a great extent, because our biological imperative was to give birth, which is no easy thing. Women often died in child birth, so random useless sex was not really worth gambling your life on.

I think these evolutionary drives are still with us. The pill has only been around for about 40 years. Long enough for cultural shifts, but not an evolutionary one.

The problem is, how to balance the wisdom of millions of years of evolution with contemporary technological "progress".

The divorce laws (as in, no fault divorce, by no means all divorce laws) were changed to accommodate the pill revolution, essentially. But this has had an incredibly deleterious effect on the family unit which we are seeing the repercussions of that within broader society now.

I think that old school "fault" divorce actually worked to stabilize society because it dampened men's desire to be irresponsible (bringing more children with more than one woman into the world) because with that there was a certain expectation to be responsible. Responsibility was expensive. Still is, but I think the modern attitude of live now, regret later has stopped many men and women from fully contemplating the consequences of their actions.

Society is in a place where technology has outstripped society's ability to deal with the consequences of using that technology.

But both sexes are responsible for the quagmire. And I'd say both sexes have been shirking their responsibility.

If the goal is only to create life then you're no better than an animal.

I didn't say that. That's waaaaay overly simplistic. But instead of posting a PhD dissertation, I highlighted one aspect of womanhood.

I agree with the message ... But the jokes kinda write themselves on this one.
