Empress, any insights onto things men should be doing in return? I think men are ultimately quite easy creatures to please, probably the single biggest problem in many relationships is the lack of sex. Unless a guy has an unusually low libido, one a month just isn't going to cut it. Going into the late 30's and 40's, I think the average is probably even less than that.

But what about women? What stops a woman from being bored or unfulfilled with her position? Is there anything your husband does or should be doing that makes you happy?

MSM has conditioned women to feel displeased with men in general- many women in committed relationships feel that men owe them something and have a deep sense of entitlement. I'm not always satisfied in my relationship and when that happens, I try to work on giving more which helps to create a positive cycle within the relationship. I also look at my relationship with God and see what's going on there. Sometimes I haven't been listening and instead relying too much on my own understanding instead of God's.

When my husband is really busy at work (which he happens to be right now) he's going to be exhausted so for the next couple of months at least so I don't expect too much from him. I ask is that if he's moody that he doesn't take it out on me and for him to exercise. My role is to make his life easier and not to burden him with the responsibility for maintaining my happiness. If I need something from him, I tell him and don't make him guess.

Edit: As far as sex goes, I find that if we're both at good a good weight, then sex comes naturally. It's when one partner slacks off and lets themselves go that the sex suffers. At least, this is my understanding.
