It's time to begin making our homes a better place to live for our family. I'll start the list with things on my spring repertoire for the house, but they'll be lacking for most goats as I live in the south west, so there's no summer-izing of equipment.
Clean your windows, the sill, the track, remove the sliding portion of the window and clean all 6 sides. Clean the window frame, then use a spray bottle, damp rag, and water with a bit of soap and ammonia in it to squeegee the windows.
Repair, replace, or clean your window screens.
Wipe down all 6 sides of your exterior doors, door frame, and security door.
Power wash your front stoop, walkway, and if you have a deck that as well to remove stains.
Hose down the exterior of your house. This removes dirt and pollutants that reduce the life of your paint job.
If your lawn has already sprouted, wait 2 weeks, then lay down a pre-emergent to control weed growth in your lawn. If it's already fully emerged, use it now.
Clean our your garage, set rat traps if needed or as a precaution against rodents.
Take the patio furniture out of storage and clean it up.
Replace your hvac air filter and get your AC tuned up before it gets hot.
Repair any storm damage to your home, replace shingles and underlayment if you had a roof leak and someone put in a temporary repair.
That's all I have on my punch list for the next few weekends, let me know what I missed.
