Yeah, it's super simple and the biggest money investments are the flour and yeast, lol.
Plus, there's so many ways to make it. Peasant bread is so easy and goes with almost everything.

A packet of yeast is $0.60, which is like 3 ounces. How much yeast are you buying that it's a large chunk of your bread making budget?

5lbs flour is $3. I buy This type of yeast which is $5. Milk is .78/gallon.
Yeast is, by far, the biggest part of the bread making budget.
Unless you include the stand mixer. That was $300. But it's multi-purpose.
Not even sure how we got here, TBH, based on the comment you're replying to, lol. I just said the biggest investments you'll have to make would be flour and yeast. Was implying they were pretty cheap.
