Let's repeal the 16th amendment and make the federal government live off of tariffs and taxation of the states rather than of the people like the founding fathers intended. Our federal government successfully worked like that for hundreds of years until 1913 when that phony 16th amendment was allegedly passed giving the federal government unlimited powers to take every cent you thought you owned.

The same fucking year the federal reserve was founded. I think you're on to something, Dfens.

License fees for your vehicles and occupations, permits for construction and "rallies," zoning "approvals," garbage pickup fees, state taxes, local taxes, excise taxes . . .

Why stop there? what about building code? Zoning? What about the fees attached?

And people wonder why the neighborhoods look like shit when people can't afford to pay the necessary fees to do a little home remodeling or landscaping.

Oh and let's tax you for the remodeling, beautification and improvements along with your neighbors because fuck you for having the money to make your house look better.

Don't want to pay? That's fine just make sure you tear that shit down or be prepared for the whole weight of local/state government to come down on you for building a patio off the back of your house without the proper permits and government approval to do what you want with your own fucking property.

a lot of those problems aren't at the federal level, so that's outside of Trump's domain (e.g CA laws keeping housing prices sky high). it'd be nice if every level of government did some simplifying, but it probably won't happen.

The one about the highway approval process? That giant fucking flowchart from hell?

I'm really glad Trump won and I really hope these do-nothing republicrats get to fucking work and fall in line.

I mean, in theory it would be nice to have a framework for resolving issues between the states, commanding the nations armies for common defense, and determining foreign policy, but that's about it.

What it initially was instead of what it became, essentially.

Voat people just reading the title and ignoring the bit about removing all the exemptions to make sure wealthy people with armies of accountants don't have an advantage over the average Joe.

I agree, it makes no sense why the top comments are posts that have nothing to do with the article unless the shills are so scared that people will read about the article and understand the easily fixable issues with our tax code, so the shills have upvoted all the random comments from people that didn't read the article.

People should also understand that we need to abolish the local state tax deductions from federal taxes. So currently, a socialist state like CA can decide they want to provide free shit to the people of Mexico so they'll raise their state income taxes to 90% in order to pay for it. So if you make 100k, you'll only take home 10k, when you pay your federal taxes, you'll only pay with the 10k that you have. So the federal government all of a sudden, isn't getting shit from the state of CA. So now they have to raise the federal tax rate and it really only gets more money from people in Nevada and Texas who pay no state income taxes. They pretty much won't get any extra money from CA if their state taxes are at 90%.

That's a thing? I keep hearing people complain about federal taxes and here they are getting deductions for local shit. I thought you paid that on top of state and local. Jesus fuck people like to whine.

Every law they make is a war on our liberties. The tax code and laws are meant to hinder and enslave us.

They make laws and they make laws . . . but they never repeal or cancel laws that are no longer needed or make sense anymore.
