We're basically one step closer to full-blown Germany where the police come knock on your door when you say something they don't like.

[–] SuperConductiveRabbi 0 points 17 points (+17|-0) ago

The only difference being now it's a literal conspiracy among private corporations, having found that they can circumvent the letter of the law by disenfranchising people's reasonable right to express themselves via the nature of private business. Yet these multi-national corporations are so big and powerful that there's very little recognizable distinction between the government saying you can't say something, and a network of corporations colluding to prevent you from speaking freely.

The first amendment may protect you from government censure of your speech, and this is still our most important natural right, but did anyone envision that it'd be necessary to describe corporations so big and all-encompassing that they can dictate what people may learn, think, and say on a national scale?

This is how the jews rule. Through forging corporate, government and miitary interdependancy so that they can do whatever is forbidden to one arm through the others. It's a beautiful system, if you like oppressing the goyims.

This is why I tried to warn the absolute free market people. Monopolies, duopolies, oligopolies, captured markets are incredibly dangerous in their power and must have reasonable regulation put in place to control their power. If government can force the smallest of businesses to have to provide services to people they don't want to and to pay a certain amount to their employees, why is it so bad that they can put some decent regulation on mega corps? My point is, is that business is already regulated, even small businesses, so why shouldn't a company as powerful as google is in the information market, have to just be hands off and neutral, unless they reasonable think whatever it is, is illegal content or software.

[–] obvious_throwaway1 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Is it a conspiracy of the private corporations? Or are they just following instructions from the Governments which control their purse strings (either directly through eminent domain, or indirectly through regulation)?

You be the judge. I don't think there is any difference, either way.

Man you guys need to read more cyberpunk novels.

the police come knock on your door when you say something they don't like.

So, present-day England.

[–] obvious_throwaway1 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Present day EU would be accurate.

[–] Anson 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Nazi Germany good. COmmunists bad.

You're confusing the two

[–] obvious_throwaway1 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

I'm talking about 2017 Germany.

This is why "freedom from" doesn't work. Freedom from government interference will always devolve into pseudo-tyranny.

"Freedom to" is much more potent. Government protected speech means you can not be silenced. Fascism gets a bad rap but it ensures corporations behave themselves.

This is also why fascists get such a bad rap. You can't subvert a culture when it's protected by tanks and taxes.

I'm usually for businesses doing whatever they want but since google is obvious a monopoly, and basically a utility; it's time for the Trump admin to step in.

If some little Christian baker has to bake gay cakes then this massive corp doesn't get to choose who they do business with over ideological differences either.

[–] 1473916381 0 points 9 points (+9|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Infowars and a lot of other people are suing Google this month because they are a public service and must serve all just like a private Christian bakery must serve all homosexuals wedding cakes. Google has demonetized all videos that are not left wing it support communism. Gab.ai should sue, I heard Google lost a 2 billion settlement in Europe as well. All speech in America is protected even the chants "what do we want, dead cops, when do we want it, now." The only thing illegal is if you give orders such as "break that window" . Tucker went over all of this is his interview with the anti Gavin McInnes guy.

Trump should definitely break that monopoly up, but I'm not really sure how that works though, seems like it just means they have to spread Google around to 6 Jew CEOs, who are all inter married rather than just 1 Jew CEO. I'm not an anti Semite but wtf does breaking up a software monopoly even mean? I think it would be easier to just sue them every time they try and define what hate speech is. Because they are defining what's allowed or not. There's no website that says what you can and cannot say, it's completely bullshit what Google is doing as well as anyone else who thinks they can define what hate speech is. If they can define it, then it needs to be fucking posted somewhere where we can read and make fun of it and turn it against them. So of course that will never happen. Hate speech will be whatever Google is feeling that day.

2.7 billion. They could have sued for 9. Others in EU can now sue as well.

You're dumber than a street nigger if you haven't removed Google/Jewtube/Facebook completely from your life. Block that shit at the router.

Damn I just downloaded it this afternoon. Just in time I guess.

[–] code_wizard_io 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

We apps will replace native apps eventually any way. The best thing the devs at gab can do right now is to build a decentralized version of their web app so it can never be taken down.

[–] soberlight 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Just another monopoly trying to squash competition. No one does hate speech like Google!
