Whether it's a weak spot philosophically (most likely), a reaction to Pussygate and other dumb fake accusations, a 4d-chess effort to discredit SJWs, or it's a temporary tactical retreat, Trump can't fight feminists on this front too right now even if he wanted to. He is fighting the Deep State and many other big battles and picking and choosing battles to devote his political capital to for now is wise.

You know what will happen with these types of dumb feminist initiatives? Absolutely nothing other than a few million bucks being wasted trying to recruit more women scientists/engineers/programmers/etc that frankly don't exist. Even if they have a degree, you just can't force women into careers they aren't passionate about and most women just aren't passionate about this stuff. A few SJWs within government will waste cash on conferences to exotic locales like Vegas and Hawaii, work on ego-driven projects like websites and pamphlets trying to get women to code, and other nonsense where they create dumb work for themselves that accomplishes nothing tangible. The end result is nothing bad will come out of this other than probably a few million bucks (small by government standards) being wasted.

affirmative action won't help them much here, stem fields are too results oriented

Trumps one weakness is women. The only deal he lost was asking Melania for her number. He had to give her his. Also his soft spot for his daughter will probably cause him to cave to leftist agendas such as this.

If you were looking for an Engineer would you want one from this mess?

I support President Trump 100%, however I don't agree with this either.

I did a quick google search and there doesn't seem to be any inequality between the number of women studying science.

I wonder if this pandering was a knee-jerk reaction to Hillary Clinton's declaration that all women are victims of oppression because they have vaginas... and they need men to give 'em free stuff as compensation... and the women all cheered!

Yep, those same women who were dressed like puckered cunts while marching through the streets of Washington DC to the tune of a Palestinian Islamic terrorist... which she played dress-up with their children using burkas.

I've always expecting President Trump will occasionally compromise on his rhetoric and I'm expecting the funding to Israel to be reduced but not discontinued... simply because he's at war with EVERYONE except the American people: he's fighting the GOP, the DNC, mainstream news media, Jewish academia, billionaire globalist elite, Hollywood, the Clinton crime syndicate, his own corrupt party members, the EU, the UN, the Muslim world, etc... so he needs to pick his fights carefully.

Similarly, President Trump seems unlikely to meet passing the Repeal and Replace Obamacare bill which is part of his First 100 Day plan. I expect people are going to go crazy and the MSM will scream and cry and mock him for only completing 17 of the 18 items... which will be heartbreaking given the Obama administration took 8 years and didn't achieve even one of their core campaign promises (no, I don't consider the Affordable Health Care Act to resemble what was promised).

What I do know is that President Obama is doing everything that is humanly possible to meet his promises and help our country... and that's a rare and beautiful thing that I never thought I'd have a chance to witness.

100% still behind him. This was never a campaign promise anyway. I can still hear the crowds in my dreams "TRUMP! TRUMP TRUMP!"

It angers me to know how the MSM and the leftists, cucks and vagina-voters will behave when Trump only completed 94% of his First 100 Day plan. They'll laugh and scream and cry and call for him to resign... while forgetting that Obama failed to deliver a single core campaign promise in 8 fucking years!

Obama's core campaign promises were:

  • He promised to halve the deficit but he doubled it;

  • He promised to defeat ISIS but it spread like cancer;

  • He promised affordable healthcare and the freedom to keep your plan and choose your doctor and that was a cluster-fuck with an equally cluster-fucked $3 billion dollar website, no choice in providers and exploding costs and deductibles;

  • He promised to close Gitmo and did not;

  • He promised to unify the country but spread division with endless race-baiting and hatred towards police;

  • He promised a new age of transparency but implemented secret wire tapping laws while allowing the State and Justice departments to be corrupted into pay-to-play Mugabe-style farces. Obama came close to keeping this promise only thanks to Wikileaks and Project Veritas.

President Trump has been like a gift from god, yet he still is constrained by being human. He can't solve generations of corruption and problems in a few months and he can't fight every battle at the same time and he will need to make compromises if they are for the better...

...Meanwhile so many citizens are behaving like entitled brats on their Sweet 16 Birthday: screaming and crying because the sports-car they were given is the "wrong" shade of pink.

Since it's Trump I'm okay with it. Pandering til SJW causes may give him leverage in other and vastly more important matters. I know where Trump is politically. He's a nationalist and he's on point when it comes to islam. The war against globalism and the dissolution of western nation states is the real battle here. Not women in STEM.

Pushing people into STEM isn't such a bad thing either. STEM is a much needed field and leads people to rationalism. The only bad thing is that it's gendered.

Its called giving and taking. Calm yo tits.

[–] seeking_virtue [S] 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

For me its not about getting the women in. Its about keeping them there and not lower any standards, thats all. its a good chip to have played

I fully agree. Trump has done NOTHING but allow a committee to present an idea. I will reserve my opinion until he does something.
