Then Daena, a holy maiden who is a personification of the Spirit of Conscience, will appear before him. For the righteous one she will be beautiful as his own conscience, for the wicked one she will be ugly as his own conscience. She will lead him to the peak of this material world, the Harborz mountain, and they will be accompanied by the angel Suroosh who will protect the soul against a possible demon attack. At the peak of Harborz he will see the Chinvat bridge (Bridge of Separation) created by God (Ahura Mazda), the immaterial bridge invisible to the eyes of the living ones, leading to the Spiritual World (called Mainyava) and guarded by two heavenly dogs. On the other side of the bridge is the lowest heavenly sphere, but under the bridge is the abyss of the dark Hell.
Then Rashnu, the angel of justice, will appear together with some other angels. The other angels will present him books of both the good and evil deeds of that person. Rashnu will decide accordingly if the person will be allowed to enter the Heaven or not. The Chinvat bridge will transform itself according to the person who will try to cross it. It will become very wide for a righteous soul, but very narrow for a wicked soul. The wicked person will be unable to cross it and will fall down to the Hell of demons, while a very righteous person will cross it without problem. A man who is shallowly righteous will have some problem to cross it, but angel Suroosh will help him.
