I almost always sleep in two parts. I'll go to sleep and sleep for about 4 or 5 hours and wake up. Then after several hours I'll take a nap for a couple of hours before I go to work. I always thought it was weird but maybe it's the way I'm supposed to sleep.

Yeah me too. I've been ill for the past couple months and had trouble sleeping. First I overslept a lot. Then I started waking up in the middle of the night, startled. I've heard people always say "if you have insomnia and can't go back to sleep in 5 minutes or less, get up and do something for 10-15 minutes, then go back to sleep when you are tired." Turns out, I'm up for hours now instead of just 10-15 minutes, before ever going back to sleep again. I feel pretty well rested.

I've been stuck in this two part sleep cycle for a few years now and I hate it. I wish I could go back to just sleeping 8 hours and be done.
