It's kind of like that already though. It takes a certain amount of CCP to achieve full functionality. Not that I'm really against it, but it might hinder a bit of expression...

On the other side of the coin, I used to be more of a lurker on the site that shall remain nameless. This forced me to come out of my shell a bit and start commenting more. Besides we really needed it during the fattening to prevent brigades from the other site.

Hmm, don't entirely agree. It gave you the choice: Go back to 100% lurking or not even lurking anymore (no voating anyway) or go commenting. You chose commenting so you could keep voating, but it could just as easy push people away from the website, or at least away from participating.
