They were actually ferry pilots, they didn't fly combat missions. Of course, they still deserve to be honored for doing as much as their country would let them do during a time when the free world was actually at risk.

Russian female pilots did fly combat missions. They were kinda notorious actually.

Russian woman also fought on the front on the ground, IIRC.

Yes they were ferry pilots, not fighter pilots. And God bless them for their contribution to the war effort.

No, because they weren't actually trained for combat flying. There's a huge difference there.
