Mao's policies are estimated to have contributed to the deaths of 60 million of his fellow countrymen. Not all of this was due to famine but it's worth mentioning.

Combine Mao's figures with Stalin's and you get close to 100 million dead maybe more. In just two countries alone communism has caused the of 100 million people in the 20th century alone, combine that with the figures from other leaders in the same nation, and the numbers from other nations and you have a grand total of 150-200+ MILLION PEOPLE dead at the hands of communism in the 20th century alone.

Furthermore beyond revealing the flawed nature of communism/socialism, these facts beg an even greater question be asked:

"Why is Adolf Hitler and his supposed figures of 6 Million jews being killed with 11 Million total deaths to his name considered by far to be the most reviled villain of the 20th century?"

Then you have to consider: "Who stands to gain from that narrative?"

Anyone willing to face the obvious answer to that question needs to watch this: http://thegreateststorynevertold.tv/ (I believe It can also be found on YouTube for now.)
