Hunting Rifle, pot, first aid kit, and hand saw.
Hunting Rifle: Emergency ranged weapon, but more importantly a SCOPE! Being able to see someone/something at a distance is going to be super helpful. I don't have that much confidence that I could build something like that.
Pot: Storage, cooking, making water, etc. Assuming it has a lid (or I can fashion one), it could also be waterproof storage in times of bad weather.
First aid kit: if you're injured/sick/etc., this is your best chance of survival. Also, gauze has a million in one uses.
Saw: Trying to cut down a tree with a knife will be frustrating, use lots of energy, and has a risk of injuring myself. The saw is a reflective surface (so possible fire-starter), but more importantly it's built to cut things down. Probably the very first thing I would do would be to saw down trees for several things: shelter (palm frond or log shelter), food (maybe from tree, maybe building spears), footwear (make rope from vines/leaves, tie together with pieces of bark or something), tinder (for fire), and traps (creating rope/fishing lines).

Tarp, knife, water purifier, matches.
The tarp is shelter and a source of water (in hot countries, you can use it as a condenser).
Knife - obvious.
Water purifier - drink from streams.
Matches - Set a fire when you need to.
Remember guys - 3 minutes without air, 3 hours without shelter, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food. I guess it all comes down to how long you think you'll be out there.

Question, why take water purifier over a pot that can boil, cook, hold water?

Boots, water purifier, hunting rifle, ammo. I bet I can find someone with no gun before I get hungry.

The volleyball, rope, saw and knife. Knife to cut my hand, use volleyball to recreate wilson. Build gallows and use rope for a noose. Have Wilson administer my execution and hang myself. Making sure I leave a very confusing scene for the first people to happen upon my corpse to try and make sense of.

Hm. Ok. Deserted island.
Hunting rifle and I assume ammo - I can make knives out of rocks shit, ranged weapons are much harder. I'd rather have the gun. Sunscreen - deserted island, and I'm of Irish descent. That's a pretty big necessity. First aid kit - it's a first aid kit. Lots of useful stuff, and you'll need it eventually.
Lastly, I'll take the 5 ounces of pot. It's gonna make that hellhole a lot less miserable, and hopefully there'll be a few seeds in it.
Most of the stuff in there is kind of redundant, like, who'd take a water purifier over a pot that has 10,002 uses? A lot of it you can also make on your own, if you've got a little initiative. Like, who'd take a tent over that other stuff? Meh. 3 hours and some Palm fronds, you'll be cool.

Assuming you can get a fire started, the amount of fuel and time needed to boil water is very high. Also if you're using seawater you have to boil it, then capture the steam and let it condense in order for desalination to occur. The water purifier is the number one item on the list.

Fires are easy, especially with that first aid kit.
Second, the water purifier vs the pot is a stupid choice. Nobody should take that over the pot, is what I said, if you care to actually read.
Next, the water purifier is absolutely pointless anyway. It's electric, first off, and second if you don't know how to dig a hole, fill it with water, and wait for shit to evaporate... Maybe you weren't meant to survive the island.

True but if you cannot make fire you will die soon anyway... must be able o cook food to remove bacteria parasites

Boots - mobility and the ability to trek through rough terrain are necessary for survival
Water purifier - number one item. Fresh water is crucial and boiling water takes a LOT of energy.
Rifle - Take down game for food. Protection from wildlife. Sound shots to alert rescue
Saw - necessary to speed up production of shelter. Reflective for signaling aircraft. Can cook on the surface.
All of this assumes I can consistently make fire through friction. I can but it's not easy.

I like everything but purifier and rifle. Only because once your out of bullets its useless, i do like above someone mentioned using the scope for looking around.
You are correct in footwear, i chose my answers based on the fact i never leave home without shoes so i should have some on when im stranded. Lol
I practice friction fires, bow string fire, and im hoping med kit may have a magnifying glass. 😉
