I'm not planning on it right now, mostly cause I dont want to pay for a new service that has next to nothing else, kinda like stargate origins is doing as well, for a show that gives a middle finger to treks continuity.
Since its on non-standard service Orville will probably end up taking a lot of the trek audience from them, premiering it first may have been a good play.
Edit1: Just saw an ad for the new trek and it discribed it as a season 1 exclusive for cbs all access, which is leading me to believe their subscription numbers are much lower than expected, in that they may shift it to regular cbs in season 2, if it makes it that far.
Edit2: It was mostly decent, sure the only character who really seems to matter (like the only character who can do anything, Michael or whatever her name is) is the black chick and it seemed very star warsy and largely gives a middle finger to continuity but seems like it will be a decent sci fi show, not really trek but like Abrams trek. Ok it basicly seems like star wars as more of a tv show. Graphics were much better I thiught than those early trailers.

Like Babylon 5? Is that any good?

I consider B5, together with (new) Battlestar Galactica the best space-based sci-fi series recorded to this day. Even though I have some kind of sentiment for Star Trek, these 2 are better written and more clever (with no or almost no technobabble).
B5 was intended to be a more mature kind of SciFi, with a lot of darker themes, but still a lot of humor. See this example.
