This image of Jupiter taken by NASA's Juno spacecraft shows storms swirling on both sides of a border where light and dark bands in the planet's atmosphere collide. The darker region on the left side of the image, known as the South South Temperate Belt (SSTB), hosts one of eight egg-shaped storms known as Jupiter's "string of pearls." On the lighter side of the border is a massive, long-lived storm named STB Spectre. — Hanneke Weitering
