Mostly automobiles, music, and entertaining a friend for a couple of weeks. We're slated to return to VA soon, so I'm also trying to wrap up anything up here that will need doing before mud season.
Heck yeah, enjoying staffing issues of the incompetent kind so my days are long & exhausting.
Who the fuck spends $10K on a 2 year welding course if they're not truly passionate about it ? A youngin who scraps $5K worth of Hbeams in a day because he can't interpret a modern shop drawing. Two 50' monorails scrapped :/
Aw well, he's gone this Friday. Sadly that's just this week, lol ! Another one we tried last summer scrapped $2K of custom conveyor parts because he wouldn't clamp them down in the jig.
I had encouraging news today though, one of the students at the school I used to teach at is an early 30s vet, a Canuck army sniper & is looking for a place to do his internship. I'm optimistic he'd have a great work ethic & be a reliable guy for 16hr on-site shifts. He live 10 mins away from the shop & has a family to support so... can't wait to try him out !
So any new additions to your collection or just busy working on them ?

I haven't added anything recently. With 'recent' being subjective. I spent a shitload just after the new year and have yet to drive most of them.
I ended up leasing some space to house them until this spring and I have only brought a few home.
Hmm...

;-) Do feel free to reverse image search that bad boy. I am 100% confident that you're one of three folks online to have seen said pic.
Actually, now I'm just showing off... Here's one more and then I have to go back out to the living room.

Good luck with your new employee. It's not easy to find competent and willing people. The churn of bad employees makes shit so much more expensive.
I need to get a professional photographer that specializes in shooting automobiles. I think I may have found one, on Reddit of all places.
