Thanks! I will live, except my spleen has a tiny, tiny chance of exploding! Sweet! That'll make an awesome story.

I find out for certain on Monday, they ran more tests yesterday.

I have no rash. None. I have no rash - at all. I've looked. I've inspected my whole body.

Oh, shit... You may find this funny.

That was kinda funny. I may have nose exhaled chuckled once while reading.

I remember the spleen concerns. Good times. I didn't take any medication for it either, probably because I didn't have health insurance then. I was like 20 at the time and was very sick for like 2 weeks and then a lump showed up on the side/back of my neck. It was at this point that I knew I was fucked up and needed to seek some type of medical opinion. I wouldn't go to the hospital because I didn't want to spin the wheel of crippling debt. So I ended up going to a minute clinic because I knew I could (just barely) afford it. They gave me a strep throat test and a mono test. I didn't have strep and they pitied me enough to actually give me that test for free. They did the mono test and were shocked at how quickly the test showed mono. Usually it takes a while for the test strip to change to the "mono" color. I ended up paying somewhere around a hundred dollars to find out I had mono and that there was no cure or treatment. I just had to rough it out which was a bit of a relief to find out given the alternative of some expensive treatment.

A girl I was dating / long time friend also actually wanted to get mono from me because she wanted to lose weight. She was already thin and did not need to lose any weight at all. We exchanged some saliva but she did not get it which she was bummed out about to this day. She dodged a bullet though.

I was probably very sick for 3 weeks and then didn't feel totally back to normal for like another month and a half. It was the sickest I have ever been and hopefully ever will be.

I hope you enjoyed my mono story. Don't die.

It was a lovely story! I probably won't die.

I have pain killers. Damned right, I do.

They tell me my spleen is swollen, but every time the doctor touched and asked if something hurt, I answered yes. I suppose that wasn't helpful, but hindsight is 20/20 and it was kinda funny at the time. Lesson learned.
