I don't want to live in a society that does these sort of things … I do not want to live in a world where everything I do and say is recorded. That is not something I am willing to support or live under.
Edward Snowden
In June 2013, Booz Allen Hamilton employee and NSA contractor, Edward Snowden, revealed the system of worldwide mass surveillance built by the United States and its allies. Since then, there have been demonstrations, investigations, technological movements, political campaigns, and attempts at reform around the world. There's no denying Snowden's actions have had a remarkable impact on the planet, and history will be kind to him for it.
This subverse is for any and all discussion involving Edward Snowden, whistleblowing, the US surveillance state, and the state of democracy and government accountability in the West.

Ed Snowden is an American hero. We need to welcome him home and give him a medal.
