It's not even Christianity, Europe is more secular than ever.
If they were as devout Christians as they once were, they'd be marching all the Muslims into concentration camps.

Actually Islam had an edge during most of history. The Ottoman empire stretched all the way from Iraq to the Balkans and north Africa. If anything I'd say the Islamic world as a whole is currently the weakest it's been in centuries due to the multitude of conflicts currently being fought out.
