No it's mowing your beard. You don't say you're mowing the ground, you say you're mowing the grass. Or you say you're mowing the lawn but that refers to the grass too (you wouldn't call the ground a lawn if there was no grass so lawn must be at least in some part defined by grass).

i think trimming is more akin to mowing than shaving is. Unless trimming is considered part of shaving.
