Assholes get shamed on the internet all the time. If a cop isn't being an asshole, then the video probably isn't worth it to upload. Maybe asshole cops would be more likely to treat people with respect if they knew they'd get called out for it rather than just humiliating people into silence.

Imagine your job was being recorded so that millions of people could watch you do it and evaluate how qualified you are at your job.

If that was the case, then I'd probably learn how not to be an asshole to people in my line of work. Something my employer expects I do anyways.

its so easy to just claim that you'd "probably learn how not to be an asshole to people in my line of work" when countless times the people recording cops are snarky and rude, looking to catch them at fault. and ive seen countless videos of people uploading vids of cops being polite and cordial, putting up with the "AM I BEING DETAINED"x300 garbage. like i said, put a body cam on them if youre concerned with how they act. otherwise, stop adding stress to their thankless jobs

Everyone has to deal with people who are snarky and rude. The cops that are being nice and putting up with "rude" people who know their rights are doing exactly what they should be. Case in point, these guys were sitting on the sidewalk when cops started hassling them. When one guy tries to call his boss to verify their story of them waiting on a ride he gets a face full of concrete courtesy of those 2 nice police officers.
