It doesn't even have to be "crazy". No sex within co-workers rule exists for a reason in major companies, because else the HR department would be handling out domestic complaints all day long...

I still don't really understand how this kind of law is legal tbh - it seems a lot like a massive invasion of privacy by whatever corporation you work for. How can a company legally have so much influence over their employees' private lives?

Its not a law and its not illegal, at least not in the US. No idea what this guy is talking about. As far as I know one must usually disclose intimate relationships to HR in order to prevent conflicts of interest, but it is in no way prohibited.

It's probably just something that businesses write into their workers contracts in some cases, that is probably why it is legal. It's similar to drug testing, some places do it, and some places don't.
