I think that it's a matter of perspective actually. When was the last time you referred to a person as a human? I actually infer traits of a person based on their ethnicity. Scientific taxonomy means little in the everyday world. When I try to communicate a description of a person I'll say you know Mike he's the big black guy in HR or Lee, the Asian in Accounting. Do we really need scientific classifications? I do t as most people don't. I get where you're going with all this but really if you can catch the nuances of communication you can explain it without being explicitly obviously racist.

No need to over generalize either, light skinned black guy means something different too.
