Farmers aren't dumb. Far from it.

Only people on the planet that can feed themselves. What fucking morons, right?

I come from a family of farmers, they are probably the wisest men I know to date. They work sun up to sun down half the year and spend the other half reading, learning, loving their family and tinkering in the shop. I wouldn't trade where I come from but it's a shame to watch the way it works, you have a successful farm and 3 sons... only one son will inherit that successful life while the other 2 figure out what else to do. Worst yet you don't have sons worth a damn or they don't want your life so your life's work gets bought up by a huge corporation and your land gets used by a big corrupt industry.

All the farms around me are being turned into massive HOA Subdivisions. The farmers are at least getting money for the land, but it's not nearly what it's worth. There's a 50 acre plot connected to a major road that's only going for a few million. A developer is going to swoop in, build 90 homes and sell them for 500k-700k each, plus deed restrictive HOA.
If the farmer found an investor to go into business with, they could develop the plat map, build the roads, and then sell/land lease individual plots or streets to builders for ready to build homes. You still hold control of the land, at least initially, and you don't get fucked with a a big check you're splitting with Uncle Sam, and no land assets. Hell, the farmer can set up their own HOA with deed restrictions on the plats, and retire on the funds. If someone violates the restrictions, there are clauses where the deed reverts back to the original deed holder.
Not saying this is what farmers want to do, or should do. Land is the most valuable, finite resource in the world and holding onto it in any form is so important.

I think white African farmers are dumb to stay there and let the niggers kill them and steal their land.

you would be starveing too if prime farming lands had seen no rain for 8 + years! wells were dry, and once mighty rivers dried up!

The only thing that education teaches you is how to be obedient and follow your masters... I wouldn't trust an "educated" person mainly because they don't have any original ideas in their stupid heads.

Most farmers I know, are good at farming. And terrible at every thing else. In Australia farmers are always complaining about X weather this, X money that... They are terrible at strategy and business. Actually, the first part about them being good at farming I take back. What kind of retard keeps SHEEP of all things, in the damn Australian wasteland. "Oh but they were bred to live in the climate", then you have no right to complain about no water and lack of food for your animals. On the other hand, Australia is the worlds biggest exporters of camels.

And who, pray tell, imports camels from Australia??

In Europe/North America farmers HAVE to be smart. We don't have the luxury of having a year round growing season. Weather patterns are watched and studied. Anxiously timing the first seeding of the year is important along with crop selection, get it wrong and you fuck up your whole year. Then at harvest, you look at your income for the year, how much do you store to not pay taxes and how much do you sell to keep your tax bill low? Every successful farmer in North America is a great strategist or has one working for them. Year round warm countries don't have the impending hardship each year so have a bunch of lazy people living there.

Would any of these farmers be the same ones who helped monsato put their balls in a vice grip? Or fall victim to the forced subsidies of the government? Or the ones that implement industrial practices that if they ever stopped using artificial fertilisers, the land would turn desolate and unusable for anything.
