Careful german shepherds are a dangerous dog breed, odds are if you have one you are paying more for your home insurance due to it.

They can be dangerous, but with good training and education they are easy to control and keep disciplined, and they also crave to serve a purpose for their master and are good learners. There is good reason that they are the backbone of K9 units, not physically stronger breeds like Pitbulls.

Don't speak poorly of the Pitbull. They are wonderful and majestic creatures, who are finding more work in law enforcement. Also, the German Shepard has a more keen nose.

I was mostly joking (although poorly and unclearly) on that fact that the breed you picked is considered a dangerous breed that is known for attacking others and and raises your expenses, similar to a group of people that you compared them to.

Don't people buy German shepherds because they can be dangerous? If you wanted a non-attack dog, you should get a Beagle. That thing wouldn't attack anyone and even if it did, it couldn't overpower a person.

Most get them as they are smart and easy to train, plus there are many of them as a primary breed in mutts so often remind people of childhood dogs they had in looks. Though others that make the list are mastiffs and Saint Bernards, any of those I have met the biggest concern you have is them drooling on you or putting your legs to sleep by thinking they are a lap dog. I have never met a dalmatian with a good temperament but somehow they are not on the lists of dangerous breeds. beagles while cute and often lovable are loud dogs that tend to bark at everything, not the best pet if you live in a city or busy area or have squirrels, good for alerting you that something or anything is around.
